New Era in Health Tourism: Mandatory Complication Insurance

An important regulation has been implemented in the field of health tourism. Foreign patients coming to Turkey for health tourism purposes are now legally required to have insurance against complications they may encounter during their treatment processes.

Scope of the New Regulation

Within the framework of the regulation published by the Ministry of Health, complication insurance has been made mandatory for foreign patients who will undergo aesthetic, dental, hair transplant and other surgical operations in Turkey. This regulation aims to protect both patients and healthcare institutions.
